Why Choose a Private Walking Tour?

Is that a good question, isn’t it? You know, you might be asking yourself, “Why should I shell out a bit more for a private tour over those cheaper, one-size-fits-all options?” Well, as a matter of fact, there are some pretty good reasons, honestly. Firstly, like, it’s personal, very personal, arguably. Your tour is, really, molded to your interests and pace, which is awesome. You get to spend extra time at the spots that genuinely catch your eye and, actually, skip the things that don’t. I mean, very similarly to having a friend show you around, right? I was very much searching for a more personal experience, and a private tour, is that right, felt, like your go-to drink at the pub, as the perfect answer.

It is almost like this; there’s just no comparison if you wish to explore some off-the-beaten-path spots. Okay, that’s quite difficult to do on a large group tour, right, you see. You gain, in effect, to go down some charming back streets and learn about a part of history known, virtually, by only a small number of tourists. Also, that’s probably a benefit when you need to ask those, possibly slightly silly, questions without, like, feeling embarrassed in front of a crowd. If, for example, you are eager to have someone that speaks fluent Portuguese, then, of course, a private tour will be beneficial and worthwhile, you realize?

Meeting My Local Guide: A Halifax Native

Now, so, my tour was led by Sarah. You know, you could tell she just absolutely loved Halifax, very possibly. So, you know, that, I feel, made all the change. So, to really highlight what I mean, like the minute we met, she didn’t just launch into a memorized speech. She instead, took the time to get to know me, similar to any other human meeting one another, that. Okay, that’s like your genuine enthusiasm for this city just bubbled over, as a matter of fact, right, and it was contagious.

Basically, and by the way, Sarah grew up in Halifax. Of course, I am willing to bet she knows every little bit, it is. Like for real, if you desire that home feeling, the fact she shared her own stories and recollections, so to provide us, that, too, gave this history a kind of vivid feeling. Oh and honestly it felt less like a lecture and more like I was visiting a relative who enjoyed bragging about their homeland. So much so, that one would actually want to visit again!

Must-See Stops & Hidden Gems of Halifax

So, you see, the tour covered all of the, very typical, spots, which, so, included the Halifax Waterfront Boardwalk, right, the Public Gardens, plus the Citadel Hill National Historic Site. I want to point out that what really made it stand out was what came next. Because what came next wasn’t like what you hear about anywhere else. Not everyone wants the most basic, the most famous and not much more.

Right, and I’ll admit, like, before this, I’d probably have walked right by those without giving them a second thought, of course, in my humdrum manner. She, almost, revealed a whole side of Halifax that I would not have figured out any other way, seriously. First, if, like, you like to discover parts known very well by few others, there may not be any other choice to gain this intel that I find rather fulfilling. Now I’m glad that I went to this private walk.

Halifax Waterfront Boardwalk

Ok, that is basically the pulsing core of Halifax. The tour guide gave, honestly, an incredible history about every landmark. What’s really so cool is to watch buskers perform along with, you know, restaurants serving incredible food with smells that attract anyone with an empty stomach, right. Plus if you, basically, appreciate maritime history then so will be pleased. Very, it’s almost, very busy yet fun and amusing.
